Ooga ooogaa!

I like this photo because Abang 'Daus looked like a kid,
although he's already a father of two. Plus you can actually
see the M&S apron.

I got my last paycheck from Marks and Spencer today and it means that I'm off for good! Bought them a dozen of doughnuts today and they look happy enough, so it makes me happy too. HAHA.

How cute are they?
You can see more of their cuteness in my facebook album.

I'm currently reading a Nick Hornby's, called A Long Way Down. You probably never heard of it, but you should, 'cause it's good and it's comical and you should really read it. Although I didn't really finished it, I still think it's worth reading.
To past time at least.

It's about a friendship formed between 4 completely different strangers when they were about to jump off the same tower block, on New Year Eve.

What utter nonsense, but it's so vulgar and funny and whimsical, does the rest matter at all?

I personally find this funny.

'You were all gonna jump?' the pizza man asked us.
We didn't say anything.
' The f-?' he said.
'The f-?' said Jess. 'The f- what?'

'It's an American abbreviation,' said Martin.' "The f-?" means "What the f-?" In America, they're so busy that they don't have time to say the " what.".'

Okay so that was rude and maybe not really, at all, funny for you.
What I was trying to say is, this book humors me. Haha. So it might do the same to you too. So if you so happened to come across this book, don't just throw it to the side with other drop dead seriously boring books.
Flip through it and maybe you'll find one of those comical lines.

Okay, I should get going now, am working afternoon shift tomorrow. That means I'll have time to grab a Starbucks.
YAY! 7 more stamps to a starbucks annual diary. :D

Seasons Greeting!

It's DECEMBER!! Yay yay yay. Can you smell the christmas cookies baking? I've been wearing Santa hat at work every weekends. It's fun, kids will be passing by gasping, MOM IT'S SANTA GIRL.
How cute.

There's once where I tried entertaining this little girl ( not the annoying one) when I was wrapping a present.

Why are you wearing the hat?
Because it's near Christmas, and I thought it'd be cool to wear a Santa hat.
But Santa never gave us present.
Oh. He doesn't?
Never.

I'd never want to be the one telling the poor kid Santa doesn't exist. So I left the conversation hanging mid air till I found a better topic, like, ' So, who's this gift for? '
Apart for the grammatical error, I thought it'll be appropriate so I chose that.

So, who's this gift for?
My sister's friend.
Oh really? That's cool.
It's her birthday.
Uhuh.
And I'm not invited.

Okay, I should probably stop talking then. Perhaps I did. Can't remember that much but I remember it was pretty awkward. I thought she was going to cry but thank goodness she didn't. She fought with her sister though.

HOHOHO. Merry Christmas. :)
( in advance)

I'll try to be careful with my words next time.
Enjoy your holidays people.

This is not my hand

No it's not, although I shared the same love for camera, bracelets and purple nails.
I grabbed it from here.

One bad thing about being nocturnal is that you often get hungry easily at night. And you will be telling yourself, ' you know what, I can't eat at this hour or I'll get fat. "

So you go for a cup of hot Milo instead. I don't. Not because I don't believe that eating at this hour will increase my trousers size. It's really because, I believe that Milo will do the same, or worst! ( Or so I heard. ) The only way for me is, either go for a quick bite, or just ignore the hunger all together, get distracted and stuff like that.

Of course nocturnal is inhuman and against the nature, something like that. My mom once told me that, " you should be sleeping at eleven because that's the time when your liver starts working."

Meh.

It's hard to fix the biological clock. If it comes to getting fat and sleeping at 11, I'll choose the first because now I don't worry about the weight issue. But soon if it comes to the state that I have to care, maybe I'll start sleeping earlier la, maybe around 1 or 2. ;)

Hmm, I'm rambling again. I don't even know if nocturnal is the right description for it. Haha. It just sounds suitable.

K I better go before I decide to type more.
Ciao!!

Can I use my blog as a tweet?

First you fell in love with a vampire, then a werewolf.
What's next? Frankenstein?

I'm not being grumpy but this whole craze over it is ridiculous.
Wake up people! *shakes*

Although I do admit, watching gossip girl is pretty childish too. Hehe. >:)
Could anyone tell me why aren't they showing it this week? Is the last disco stick the last episode of the season? I kinda need my weekly dose of girly drama.

Sometimes I surprise myself too.

Hello!! The blog's been dead and alive! Here it goes again.

I hated books, but (today) I like working in MPH, maybe it's pms, maybe not. Yeah, I know, sometimes I surprised myself too.

I joined MPH after leaving Marks and Spencer. Don't ask me which is better, I like both the same. Marks and Spencer is more laid back and the pay is higher, but I learn different stuff in MPH.

So yay for me. :D

The people in MPH's nice and funny. I actually like them, but since I don't know some of their name, I just call everyone kak and abang. Haha. They thought I'm being respectful but it's really because I don't know what else to refer them as and "EH" is just not specific enough.
(hmm, maybe they know the reason too.)

And since I'm in charge of the whole chinese department, which is very small, just thought you should know. I get to do reports, invoice, p-orders, deal with important peoples from the publishers and actually know how the whole system works. It's pretty interesting you know?

Well, I'm not that desperate for the money so screw the damn low pay. I had fun, I learned to do a bit of (invoice) accounting, it's like an intern getting paid. It's good!
That is, if I have my dose of coffee in the morning la.

Of course there were time where I felt lost and hmm, lost. And got pointed out for not tugging in my shirt, for leaving the shelves empty, for bad housekeeping/book stacking. But yeah, where's the good when you can't see the bad right?
Fuiyoh.

p/s: I'm surrounded by books, it made me feel more intellectual, but I'm still me. Sighh. ;/

I'm not yours

This makes me sad. Angus and Julia Stone actually recorded a song called, " I'm yours" in their album.
The video I'm showing is the video of Julia singing "I'm not yours" instead of ''I'm yours", for what reasons I don't know, but I know it's sad. :/
Nope, "I'm not yours" is not from any of their album. I googled it and found nothing, it's something she wrote before the gig.

Enjoy.

Chinese, chinese.

Oh what have I gotten myself into? I applied for the mph job expecting all I have to do is just smile, greet, arrange books at worst.
Being big mouthed and braggy I told the interviewer, " Of course I can speak Mandarin, I got A for my chinese in spm."
Wham, now I have to learn how to order books, display books, return books, check accounts, arrange report.

p/s:
I'm going to edit the two posts below 'cause I think it's a bit too messy.

I dedicate this song to all of you! :D (although the video makes me dizzy, I stopped watching it after 3 seconds.)

I think it's a sweet sweet song. :)

I know I've made mistakes
But I'm asking you give me a break
I really wanna be your friend forever
Friends forever

Hahaha so gay, but so cute.

Malacca- numero duo

Hello again! Haha. Back so soon. I have to upload a video onto facebook so I might as well spent the time posting this while waiting.

Second day in Malacca! It's a pretty good day. Had chicken rice ball for breakfast, it's pretty damn good as well.

Chicken rice balls = Malaysian Sushi

Spent most of the time like the normal tourists, visit historical places.

Chilling while waiting.

We went to the A'famosa tomb fort to see St francis's skeleton. Was it St. Francis? I'm not sure. The place is pretty amazing. Huge, ancient and it looks greek to me. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the white walls.
I felt like tomb raider. HAHAHA.

Ahh breathtaking

The trip ends with Satay Celup after Nyonya cuisine. The trip was good but it could have been better. A tip for satay celup, always order the fried beancurd. It will absorb the satay sauce so when you bite onto the beancurd, poof, satay sauce's going to flood and maybe burn your tongue. It might be pain. Like what kak Azar once told me, pain is good.
This pain is soo good, I don't think it hurts at all.

Am I making any sense?

It's two in the morning now and I really should be going. :(

Malacca - numero uno

It took us 2 hours drive to go to Malacca. The first day was practically the jonker street day, as we spent most of out time there. They have the best cendol ever, I took a video of it but it's inverted and I don't know how to edit it. So yeah. Haha.
Sorry fiona! Sorry tze en!
I'll figure out a way.

Align Center
Sometimes I'm proud of myself for taking nice pictures.

Best cendol in the entire whole wide world.
slurp slurp slrup.

I had two bowls of cendol in a go.
This is the mango cendol I had last,
it's so sweet it makes me sick.

[edited] for more pictures please visit facebook album here.

It's going to take me some time to upload day two's photos and I'm working morning shift tomorrow. Meh. Work starts at 9 in the morning.
:(
I'll blog about my second day in Malacca soon.

Tata now!

the wrote and the writ

The letters that you left behind
No longer shall I read
Your blood's between the pages
And I can't stand to see you bleed

And I'll soon forget what was never there
Your words are ash and dust
All that's left is the song I've sung
The breath I've taken and the one I must
